UPDATE: Holy Cow, it worked!
This is an all out test of CrossPoster. It is simultaneously crossposting to both my Vox and Movalog's Sandbox blog i.e. two different blogs on two different weblogging engines. As this crossposting could take quite a while, it is launched via a background task.
This also has also been composed with Movable Type on my localhost machine with the Markdown text formatter which means this is italics this is bold

This is a tag test! Wish me luck!
80 days around the world, we'll find a pot of gold just sitting where the rainbow's ending. Time - we'll fight against the time, and we'll fly on the white wings of the wind. 80 days around the world, no we won't say a word before the ship is really back. Round, round, all around the world. Round, all around the world. Round, all around the world. Round, all around the world.
I hadn't expected that last entry to actually cross post on the first go... I had expected there to be some bugs... but there weren't which makes a first! It's a shame that Vox doesn't seem to be able to update entries via the Atom API.
This second cross posts is testing two things, (a) whether tags are properly transmitted to Vox and (b) whether CrossPoster::Cache works properly!
See you on the other side!
From Vox: It looks like I jinxed myself! Test #2 was only 50% successful, CrossPoster::Cache worked brilliantly but unfortunately tags weren't sent across. My neighbours, please forgive all these spam posts you will see crop up in VoxWatch and elsewhere. The pain, however, will be worth it :)
It is quite sad that the first post in over a month to my Vox is in fact a test for an ultra-cool new Cross-posting plugin for Movable Type!
Excuse me whilst I lift my jaw off the floor. What is the world coming to? My ISP recently unblocked Flickr, YouTube, hi5.com and (finally) Vox. This is unbelievable and my god the place has changed since I've last seen it.
I've been incredibly quiet because it started to become tiresome to write posts from Thunderbird but I've also been incredibly busy. Since my last post, school has begun and we've jumped right into work. In fact we've been working so hard, it feels we've been at school far longer than we actually have. During this time, we've started our final year of high school, and the incredibly hard A Level course. In addition to all of this, I've been juggling MT development and university applications. My top 4 universities:
- Cambridge, UK - application sent
- Stanford, CA - application to be sent, so much to do in this one!!
- Berkeley, CA - again application to be sent. With this one, it's so US-centric so I'm facing a few problems
- Purdue, - application sent, now need to send high school transcripts, recommendations, test scores and whatnot
And if that wasn't enough, I re-did my SAT I on Saturday (it's fitting that SAT exams are sat on Saturday). The first time I did the SAT I was October 2005 and I ended up with a score of 2070, 720 Reading, 680 Writing and 670 Math. The English scores were high but my Math score was apalling considering I'm one of the best mathematicians in my year. So one year later (!) I redid the SAT and I think it went better than last year. Just sitting the exam, I was aware of how much both my English and Math skills had improved. I was able to answer all the Math questions with time to spare (last year I hardly managed to finish the sections) and with the English section, the long Reading passages didn't put me to sleep. Hopefully everything has gone well, scores come on the 8th.
I'll have more later but I'm dying to reacquaint myself with darling Vox.
Apparently it didn't like me using the HTML editor in Thunderbird. So
here's a link as to why it's bleak that I'll be able to access some
non-censored email:

I think I'm also going to begin to respond to comments via posts like
these rather than attempt to hunt down people's email addresses :)
*aa:* Yes the separate email accounts for privacy zones is a good idea
but I'm not so sure about the separate email addresses for tags.
Whenever I decide to write a Vox entry, I usually have a vague idea what
I want to write it about but most of the time I tend to ramble from
topic to topic until I get to the juice of the entry (hence I haven't
the foggiest what I'd want to tag the entry with until it's done)... The
"separate email addresses for tags" idea is great for tags that I know
I'll post to frequently but besides "vox", "vox hunt" and perhaps
"mundane daily life" how would I tag the rest? I guess I'll have to wait
for your special Vox moblogging clients (though then my postings from a
Mac/PC would be restricted...)
I was impressed with my last vox hunt entry though, although it didn't
tag it "vox hunt" (stupidly, I created a separate moblogging email but
never specified the tag!!), it did manage to automatically tag it with
"flag photo" which was impressive. Does it work off the title? Or did
someone tag it?
Hmm.. I think I'll use my [Tags] syntax from before, perhaps my readers
will take pity on me and tag my entries :)

Our school participated in this event too, the largest UAE Human Flag.

*is thankful he made a vox hunt moblog address a few days ago*
P.S. Moblogging for Vox could really become much better... It's really
annoying me that I can't tag (or at least haven't found a way to tag)
via email. Surely something like:

Could be parse-able?
What is your browser's default home page set to?
Submitted by Kelev T. Cat.
I don't really use homepages. Firefox is almost always open and if it isn't, I have the SessionSaver extension installed so it resumes from where I left off.
However, until yesterday, my homepage was the default Firefox Start Page. Ironically, I changed my homepage yesterday in an attempt to actually read the QotD and Vox Hunt challenges so I wouldn't miss them.
Feature Request: Have a link on the top bar that when we click expands a box (kinda like the "add this person to your neighbourhood" link) showing the QotD and Vox Hunt challenges. I never ever go to the Vox homepage....
I love how things have worked out. What were one of Wordpress' most touted features? It's themes of course and they just laughed at us when we provided a default set of templates and asked users to just use CSS.
Turns out we weren't so wrong. Matt now recommends keeping to the default templates and just manipulating the CSS. I love how these Open Source projects work
It's not really worth discussing the aesthetics of it because we'll never all agree, it's just going to be something I'll make a call on.
And now back to our regularly scheduled teenage angst.
P.S. When I copied from the mailing list archive, my font changed, how do I change it back?
UPDATE: I fixed it by copying the monotype font into Word and then copying it back here. Wish there was a better way. Also it's kind of weird that the indent button is before the unindent button (it makes sense logically but don't most have it the other way round?)
